Developed in conjunction with Silverton Mountain and tested in Colorado’s rugged San Juan Mountains, this deck craves big lines and burly terrain. It’s chatter proof when bombing open steeps, but agile enough to navigate tight trees and narrow chutes without flinching. Moderate taper and a softer nose provide float for untouched powder fields, while a stiffer midsection and tail lend stability and control in unpredictable big mountain conditions. The surf inspired nose and rockered shape keep you from augering into the deep stuff. No wonder the splitboard version won Backcountry Magazine’s 2009 Editor’s Choice Award and the solid was named a Snowboarder Magazine “Best of Test” by Rocky Mountain retailers.

Updates for 2011 are minimal - why mess with a good thing? Changes include a slightly stiffer nose and tail for increased edge hold and stability and 5 mm less stance offset for better all mountain functionality.
