Nitro Misfit - 2011

/images/brands/nitro/logo/nitro_logo.gif

The Nitro Misfit definitely fits the bill for riders who want to take their kicker riding to the backcountry. A camber profile and Rock Band basalt fibres running along the length provide the pop you need for blasting off soft powdery transitions and the triaxial glass and flat kick tips arm riders with a board that’ll stick super deep powder and completely tracked-out landings. Should you feel the urge to lay down some hand-dragging carves or blast a big Lien air out of the pipe then the Misfit’s probably a good match.

Manufacturer's Description:

The Misfit is the board for riders who are breaking the boundaries of what’s possible. It has a new twin shape with directional sidecut and flex. The flat kick on the long powder nose and tailis designed for easy landings where it’s deep and keeps the board from diving under in the pow. The Tri-Progressive sidecut makes turns quick to initiate and even easier when riding switch because of the tighter sidecut towards the tail. The solid flex ensures you won’t squirt out on landings or fold at speeds, while the Sintered Speed Formula base keeps you hauling ass and barging big terrain at will… Ride fast, Die faster- FTW!

This thing is baddass, super fast, quick turns possible, yet stiff as you know. Definitely took my board game up a notch.. Dont know why I can’t find any (good) reviews for this badboy at all?!?!?! I’ve got the wide version in 158.6 with a 30.5 reducer boot, no problem. I’ve ridden a several nitro boards, but this one is crazy…I’m in love. Just as described by Nitro. Do they still make’em? Hope so Wonder if anything similar is around (by Nitro). I have 9 years of experience and wish that I had upgraded on this baby earlier. Still a misfit
