There are hand-made snowboards and then there’s Windlip snowboards, lovingly assembled in Pussy (Yep it’s an actual place in the Savoie, France), in a tiny factory by a team of highly skilled craftsmen. The J-Class is a freeride classic in the making, with H-Glass and Carbon biaxial reinforcement and heavily tapered shape you know it’ll cut the mustard on and off piste. Finished with a Cedar and Bamboo topsheet for that classic Hawii steeze. Oh and if you like the board but the spec’s not quite right, they’ll build you a custom board with your own specification. Want one? Thought so!

Manufacturer's Description:

If we could only have one high quality snowboard, this would be it; a board that’s a joy to ride in all conditions. We talked about it for years, a unidirectional board with a floaty nose and a slim loose tail for deep powder. Good carving on pack due to its aggressive side cut shape and torsional stiffness. Plenty of pop provided by the carbon layered over a wood core. No wash-out means that this board holds right through the turn. A freeride masterpiece that can handle anything the mountain throws at it.

All Windlip snowboards are handmade in the Savoie region of France and take around 4 weeks to make. For an additional cost Windlip can add further dampening to your board, add a tracking microchip, and give you the option to completely customising the design.

I own one of these, probably one of the best purchases in my life. Believe the hype. My J class is so light I ride a 160 and im only 5.8” but I can throw this board around without any issues. Its an absolute dream in powder and holds an icy edge with no problem.

Its quite a stiff board, which can cause problems in snowdomes and its definitely not for dry slopes but on the mountain it comes into its own, Its fast.. super fast with just the right amount of pop for sweet carving. Really is an all mountain board

In a nut shell .. its the Rolls Royce of snowboards.
