Amplid HiDef - 2013

/images/brands/amplid/logo/amplid_logo.gif

Creating a snowboard with honeycomb inserts is an art form; the secret to doing it right is using fibreglass laminates pre-impregnated with resin so that when the board is laid-up before pressing, resin doesn’t creep into the holes. The HiDef is Amplid’s ultra lightweight park and pipe weapon for those riders who want hit huge jumps, spin 12s and stick McTwists 10ft out of the Pipe. If you’re a very strong rider taking your tricks to the pro line and Superpipe, the HiDef should be on your list to Santa.

Manufacturer's Description:

Futureproofed Freestyle Perfection

Snowboard technology plucked from the year 3000 meets good ol’ fashioned know how. The ARC set-out to create a freestyle twin with synaptic response, weightless construction and a friction free glide…now every other brand on the planet is playing catch-up. This board is no joke. Not for beginners or even intermediate riders. You need to be good enough to make this board your bitch otheriwise it will make you its bitch real quick. I found this out the hard way after catching my tail off the lip of a 40ft kicker on a cork bs5 (which i am used to doing as a simple warm up trick). Definitely was my fault from going from camber boards (14 years) to rocker boards (4 years) back to a camber board such as this, and thinking i still knew how to ride them properly. If you want to ride a nice gentle “pony” rocker board that you can cheat your way off the lips of jumps or onto rails then this is not for you, but if you want to ride a “bull” on steroids with madd camber and have the ability & balls to seek and destroy everything in your path then saddle up.

Additional Info: -This board is fast as fuck. Almost too fast. -Holds an edge like its life depended on it -Flexes really nice & even with crazy amounts of pop -Wants to be ridden hard 99% of the time. -Not used to camber?...You’re already out of your league.
