DC BFF - 2010

BFF reviewed by the Snowboard Review team.

Summary:

Nope, this isn’t Paris Hilton’s “Britsh Best Friend”, far from it, the DC BFF is a versatile freestyle goddess. Designed with lighter biaxial glass than the men’s boards to give a more forgiving ride to female riders, but still cramming in Kevlar and Carbon reinforcement for pop and stability. The BFF might just be your new best friend…. Paris can go fish!

Manufacturer's Description:

Tailored to the needs of female riders, this board might be your new Best Freestyle Friend. The easy-to-ride, all-mountain BFF series features a softer flex and narrower width. This all-mountain freestyle board is the only board you will need for any conditions or riding style.

Review of DC BFF:

For me, the BFF was love at first ride. I admit scepticism last year at DC’s new board range, but I was seduced in moments. This board has an incredible hold on the mountain, and is super-controlled at high speed, which amazed me considering how super-lightweight it is. Turning was incredibly easy on piste, and the BFF contains a pop-injection just when you need it, for playful sessions on those natural piste-side jumps or impromptu park sessions. I took it into super deep powder, and as with all boards, realised I needed a slightly longer length to get some speed. But once again its lack of weight meant the BFF glided through the fresh stuff like a fish in water. Despite having a candy-store of boards in front of me to test, DC’s BFF kept calling out for more, and its subtle not-super-girly graphics make this my ultimate choice for any girl who wants to make the most out of the mountain.
