The Rome Artifact rocker is now legendary for its rail slaying ability. With a soft flex and reverse camber profile the Artifact Rocker is an ideal board for riders who want to ride jibs on the mountain or shred rails in their local town. New for 2011 the Artifact Rocker gets the Impact Composite core for better impact absorption and more uniform flex and Reverse –V glass reinforcement for extra pop without additional torsional rigidity.

Manufacturer's Description:

LNP’S SKATE FOR THE SNOW

For the pure pleasure of pressing 5-0s and blunts, LNP, Eiki and Lazz all mount up the true-twin Artifact Rocker when they ride handrails, ledges, and boxes.  The Reverse-Jib camberline is flat underfoot for balance on rails, while the reverse camber in the nose and tail makes press tricks so easy that it’s almost cheating.  Glass Reverse-V Stringer Technology ups the ollie and nollie height.

Rome Artifact Rocker

SB-RV Review

This year Rome have gotten rid of the ‘bronze’ edge which was featured in the last two season’s Rome Artifacts, but as far as I’m concerned this change hasn’t made the slightest bit of difference to how it felt on rails and boxes. This season’s Artifact has a nice soft & buttery flex which makes pressing and buttering easy peezy. So if your game is all about park jibbery, switch or regular, then this is your dream machine. Perfect for small hill shredders, indoor riders and groms that just spend their time in the park and jibbing around the edge of the groomers
One thing is for sure, the Artifact didn’t feel that great at high speeds, but to be fair, that isn’t what the Artifact is designed for. If charging around at 100mph is your thing then you won’t like this playful and forgiving butter knife, it is designed purely for jibbing. If boxes & rails is where you spend most of your time then this cheeky little number is made for you.

How does this board feel on small and/or medium kickers? Ain’t it too flexible?

Ryder on January 25, 2012 at 07:56 PM

Taken this on rails, boxes, deep pow, moguls, groomers, 25-30 footers, and 10 to 15 footers. Can kill anything if set up right, for sure a park board but it’ll get the job done anywhere.
