Skiers and snowboarders love lots of freshly fallen ****?

Hi, pretty sure i’ve decided on the true dream. Trying to decide between the 159 or 161, i’m 5’11 and weigh about 185. Any tips? Thanks!

Rich Ewbank on December 04, 2011 at 10:09 AM

You can ride either really. If you’re riding all-mountain get the 159… if you’re riding more pow and backcountry then the 161.

This board has loads of pop, rides fine switch, and holds a nice edge at high speeds, even in ice. For park, you might want something a little less stiff for rails, but kickers feel sturdy. Top sheet gets dinged up especially in the edges, but if you’re like me, who cares?? Too bad the the WIDE doesn’t come in anything less than a 157…

i got a 56 and a 59 i like the 56 more for everything. more agile and never had any problems with float. the board is wicked at everything. im 6’0 and 175lbs

I currently ride a K2 union 164 and love it. Looking to step up to something faster, but don’t want to lose the agility. I’m 6’6 230. Is this the board for me??

Rich Ewbank on February 29, 2012 at 10:01 AM

@EJ

It might be, but don’t be tempted to go too short, you should be riding the 165 or if you’ve got large feet, the 164W or 167W. If the Union was cambered you will certainly feel that the TD is more agile and its flat/early rise profile won’t feel unstable at speed.

So, I picked up the TD and as almost all reviews state. The board is amazing. I haven’t been this happy riding in years. Took me a few days to find the pop in it but it’s definitely there. It carves real nice and is SUPER fast! If you were like me wondering if you should get it. I would say go for it hands down.

Have been riding the TD -165 since December.  Love it!  Great in all all types of conditions - POW, groomed, ice and absolutely amazing at high speeds.
