This year the Lib Tech TRS took home a Good Wood award. Good Wood testers tend to be park focused, they like a board to perform in all elements of freestyle riding from rails to pipe. More importantly the boards need to perform on little jibs for the many photographers to catch on film. If that’s your kind of riding take the biggest snowboarding publication in the World’s advice and buy a Total Ripper Series.

Just wanted to know the difference between this and the gnu riders choice pickle tech. i read the RC pickle is basically everything and more. the trs is everything and some because its not ever talking about rails. whats your take on the TRS vs RC pickle and why the RC pickle is cheaper

I have last year’s model and i absolutely love it. I am from the east coast and obviously there’s not big mountain skiing over here. I try and ride all over the mountain. This board is buttery enough to press on rails and boxes but can really charge down the mountain. They hybrid camber is a lil sketchy at first but you get used to it in a run or two. Also balance point can be a lil off on rails but nothing you can’t get used to. I was lucky enough to go to Lake Tahoe at the end of last season (march “11) and rode 6 days straight in at least a foot of fresh powder every day. I’m 6’ 195lbs. and i ride a 159. I did go a lil short because out east i mostly focus on park and groomers. I had no trouble with the TRS literally surfing down the mountain. I didn’t even set my stance back. With the help of the reverse camber the TRS had no problem floating. I absolutely love this board. I will prob wait another season and get another TRS. There’s almost nothing this board can do. Unless you ride mostly street i highly recommend this board. Ride safe all!
