Hi i consider myself a strong intermediate rider 5.8 feet and 186 pound i ride resorts most of the times - so carving is my main thing - speeding down the hill ( but not with speed of light ) but also just cruising around - but i got the most fun of carving hard :) anyways - i know from the reviews i read and from the forum - that i should go towards burton custom x - but i really dig the never summer raptor board - ( i have regular bindings so it’s burton’s disadvantage that i’d have to spend more cash..) - and know i have a chance to buy NS raptor board for really good price but it is 164 size - and i’m wondering if it is gonna be ok for my specs. :) or should i stick to boards closer to 160. i know that you read whole bunch of similar questions - but - i’d really appreciate your help

If carving is your thing and you weigh 186lbs you should get yourself down to that shop and buy yourself the NEver Summer Raptor! It’s a really great board for carving… as good as the 10/11 Burton Custom… hmm I don’t know… different, but utter quality none-the-less. The 164 is the board length I would have suggested you buy in the first place anyway.
