I have a problem. I am a new snowboarder (been riding since April, no snow in the summer was torture) and I am looking to buy a new board. The problem is that I weigh only 120 pounds, but have size 11 feet. Almost all the wide boards are longer than the size range I thought was right for my weight (about 150 cm). I can’t find any wide boards below 153, and when I do, the amount of choices is very small. Would I be okay riding a long board (roughly around 158) so I can buy a wide one, or should I try to find a short wide board?

Yeah that’s not an easy combination.

I’m gueiing that’s a US 11 as you’ve given your weight and height in Imperial measurements.

In which case I reckon you’ll be ok on a mid-wide… something in the region of 25.5cm at the waist. Check out the amplid Declaration and Verdict they are two boards that spring to mind that both come in a 153 with the a wasit width around the 25.5 mark. THen use our board selecta and tick the mid-wide option.
