I have about 1000 euro to spend on any board I like.

I think about the following boards

K2 Panoaramic
Burton Freebird

Obviously splittboards for powhunting between the dumps.

And I also think about the following “non” splitts for pow

K2 Gyrator
Burton Fish

For freeride I think about

K2 TurboDream (mostly beacuse I think it´s a cool board with a good feeling).
Nitro Panthera LX
Bataleon Undisputed

And I also think about pure luxery high above my freestyle level. Just for….I can have it =)
Like
Burton Vapor, K2 Prothohype or Salomons replacement for the special. or enemy +++

So. Any one who have any toughts on these boards? Please let me know. I don´t expect a full answer since my problem is rather diuffuse and involve a lot of boards….Personally I can clearly see that one off the splitts ad most value to my setup. But it wont be used as much as any else of the boards.

Today I ride Rossi One Magtek 163 for all moutain and speed, K2 Eldorado 159 (for preseason off piste) and K2 DarkStar 155 (chamber edition) for park and play.

Cheers!

A very nice problem indeed!

For backcountry I am really hyped on the MTN Approach system…  you could take any board you want into the backcountry and it looks much more convenient then dealing with a splitboard.  Check out the general information forum for the thread I created on it.

Of all the boards you mentioned my favourite (and the one I would buy this season if I needed a board) would be the K2 Turbo Dream.  I enjoyed that board so much last season at a demo day that it still brings a smile to my face when I think of it.

If you like all your boards and don’t really need another maybe upgrade bindings or boots or other gear?  Just a thought…

The Turbo Dream. Yes why not. It´s about 500 Euro soo that gives room for a binding update…or more like it would be nice to have two pairs of bindings.

I am a bit afraid that the TD would be to much like my Rossignol One.

TD is quite a freerider - isn´t it?

Steve are you repping for Mountain Approach? haha ;)

Yeah I’d say the TD is very much like the One. Not too directional rockered tips… medium to firm flex, 8m sidecut radius… they’re pretty similar, even if they feel different to ride.

Go for something wild MP! What about the Lib Birdman! Only joking you’d have to be riding in Japan to get use out of that. If you’re riding in Scandinavia then I reckon the split option makes the most sense.. providing you have somebody to tour with. I.e. somebody else with with a splitboard or Steve with his Mountain Approach skis.

lol Rich, I haven’t even seen them in person yet…  I just love the concept, I can see the value in it and I have never been to the backcountry yet. :)

Yeah, I was just mentioning my favourite MP…  the One and the TD are pretty close.
