Hey guys,
First off, I’ve been a lurker since I started riding, and I want to thank all of you for a simple but super-informative site. I’m faced with a dilemma:
I’ve got my heart set on a 2010 Gnu CCS board, but the only deals I’ve found are for the 2010 models in either the 147 or 159 length. Board specs are here:
http://www.gnu.com/snowboards/mens/carbon-credit-series/
I’m a 5’4”, 150 lbs (muscle mostly) all-mountain rider that likes to hit natural features, jib along the sides of trails and slash into the trees every so often. I rarely ride the park, but I’d love an all-in-one board that I can practice tricks on while cruising the mountain.
Would either of those two lengths fit my size? If so, which is better for my style?
Thanks!

From running a quick check on Gnu’s site the 153 is probably the best length for you. The 147 you are at the top end of the weight range for the board so it might be too soft and not enough length for ripping down the mountain stable. The 159 is the opposite, you are pretty much at the bottom of that board for weight so it might not be as manoeuvrable as you want for jibbing and the flex more firm.
