I own a K2 anagram 2009. It was a great board, for 3 days. after that it had chips on it everywhere, the nose, the tail, even the edges got small chunks taken out. I was wondering if anyone else has a k2 anagram and has the same problem?

I never owned any snowboard although that will change soon but trawling the forum pages, this seems to have been noticed by a few people. Actually on the feedback on boards on the K2 (and Ride) own websites, the bioards are rated highly but with a significant number of people complaining about easy ‘dings’.

I don’t know about K2 but I have a 2011 Burton Bullet and I have the same problem.  After two days of riding, I had chips all over the board as well.  I guess maybe its just normal, but I thought it was a little odd that I actually had chips in my edges as I wasn’t riding on rocks or anything..

A question for the experienced boarders here.

Were boards always that easy to scratch? Is that a new phenomenon? Is it so to make easier to change to a new board every year?

Shit, my boards have all types of nicks on them.  Part of the beast of snowboarding.

Only does it become a problem when your core is exposed…  it’s doesn’t take kindly to water and can warp with moisture and temperature differences.

When I get a bad shot I make sure to dry it really well and then seal it with an epoxy glue.  If the shot is on the base I take it to a shop to get the p-tex fixed.

I own a K2 Parkstar and it’s been trashed a bit but some TLC keeps it running smooth…  should get a nice workout next season as I try to step my game up.

I had that same problem with the Anagram, but I rode it pretty hard. After 3 years it still rides well, but has a ton of little dings on it.

This seems to be a recurring feature of K2 Boards. When I rode the K2 turbo dream it was extremely easy to nick. By the end of the day it had accumulated more damage (small nicks and scratches) than some other boards receive all season. It may be due to how K2 has decided to structure the top of their board.
