I have noticed a little bit of rust on the tail edge of my board. Is this due to improper drying after use?  Or could this be manufacturers defect?

Generally speaking your edges will get surface rust if left damp, leaving in board bags is common cause of this and can happen quite quickly. It isnt to much of a problem as the edges are generally made of mild steel it can happen quite easily. Depending on how serious it is you can usually get rid of it with a rag with base cleaner, some fine wet and dry or if its a little more serious, use an edge tool.

The best thing to prevent it is make sure your board is clean and dry when you store it and leave it out of a bag in a ventalted room (away from heat sources) when storing it for any length of time.

Good luck,

Matt

Yeah good shout Matt. Rust on your edges is bound to happen at some point. Running an edging file over them should sort it out no probs. You can pick up an edging tool for peanuts.
