I am going for Freeride board.. I hit the mountain far more than the park..

I like to rip at high speed down the pistes
and carve hard turns

so do I go for a 158 or a 162 - am currently riding a 160 (W)

thanks

For the last 6 or so years I have been riding a Saloman Driver Wide 160 (am 6’ and about 190lbs, size 10UK boot)

I think you should be going for a 162cm at the very least! If you want a freeride board for pow and blasting courdroy at mach 10 I’d be thinking more 165 ish. Longer the board, the more stable it is at top speeds. Longer than 165 and it gets hard trying to fit it in your board bag!

I’m 77kg and 5’8” and I ride a tapered 164 for pow in the trees, but think I’ll be getting a 168ish for big open bowls and straight line charges. At top speed the difference is unbelievable.
