Hey Nick, that is pretty neat…  the brush wheels must give it a softer feel compared to a standard longboard.

A couple of things though, looks like the speed is capped with the brush wheels…  and I couldn’t tell cause of the techno music but I would think the sound of the wheels would drive me insane. :)

None the less an interesting concept, best of luck with it!

Yeah that’s a pretty nuts concept Nick.

I like the way you can skid out turns. Out of interest, can you ride it on any surfaces other than tarmac?

Hehe, nice concept!
But looking at the fact that these brushes will, at higher speeds, just slide away it is kind of risky to not wear a helmet trying out this beast, don’t you think? :)

Good luck on any further development!

Thanks for responses!
Rich, brushboard can slide on surfaces even with small roughnesses, as small stones and cracks. The bristle easily overcomes it.
zoryfl, Sometimes we use a helmet, especially for jumps. At usual riding (like downhill) the helmet is not required, as from a board it is very easy to jump off.
Look details on our site: http://brushboard.ru

Also we can give some copies for the test skilled riders, who can write responses and take a photo and video

I’m down with being a tester. I am picking up a longboard as well this summer so I’ll be able to review it compared to a few boards. PM me Nick.

Hey Nick, I found another concept…  the Freeboard.  They have a great explanation on their website on how the tech works. http://www.freebord.com/

I read the terms on your website.  I know English is a second language but I found it confusing to figure out how your testing system works.

Dude, those “Freebords” are amazing!!
I so want one of these now.. apart from the wheel-wastage which will probably be HUGE, this looks like so much fun! =D

For sure, you’d be switching your wheels every 5 minutes. I bet you have to use a really hard urethane that makes your teeth chatter when you’re riding anything other than the smoothest Tarmac. Looks fun though. imagine the freeboard system on a superflexy bamboo Never Summer deck, you’d be able to get some uber carves.
