Hi,

There ara bargain prices for 2010 boards in the local shops where I live and want to buy a flat camber board. I’m considering on these boards; Nitro T1, K2 Believer, Capita Indoor Survival FK. Their prices are close and I want to buy the best/suitable one. I’m intermediate and generally ride all mountain, height 5’8, 160 lbs, 8.5 boots. Could you please compare these three boards in respect to style, fun, stiffness, preferance, solidity? And finally can you rank them from 1st to 3rd? Or any other board suggestion in this category…

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Veritas,

I’ve ridden the Capita Indoor Survival FK and Tom has ridden the K2 Believer. Unfortunately neither of us have ridden the Nitro Team 1, but from what I’m hearing from people, it’s the Rook you want to be looking at in the Nitro range. The Capita isn’t actually zero camber, it has early rise tips and tails, basically flat camber between the feet and rocker from the bindings, much like K2’s Jib Rocker. I really liked this years Inddor Survival and compared to the cambered version, it’s a million times better. I’d rate the flex at about a 5 to 5.5 out of 10, it’s agile and playful and can deal with some freeriding and deeper snow, it’s really dialled for park riding. From what I gather Tom rode everything from Pow to park on the Believer in Argentina and Switzerland. He said it provided plenty of pop, gave a bouncy float in pow and really worked on rails and kickers, I think he enjoyed carving on it too even though he said it wasn’t the boards greatest strength. I’ll hazzard a guess that the flex is also aroun 5.5 to 6. To be hones, take either of those boards and you’ll have fun, the Believer is probably more dialled for all mountain riding although the Turbo Dream or Zero may be better options.
