Okay, looking forward to that article funcion you guys are working on right now. I got your point explaining your plan. But can’t you just add an article-archive and a paginator at the bottom of the page so the user can switch through all of the old articles?
Hehe, I thought about that heel-lift thing earlier, too. Added this some days ago. Didn’t know a proper phrasing, though.
I just changed the settings for google docs. You should now also be able to edit the document, viewing the following link. So just feel free to edit as you like!

Cool I’ll have a look at that.
THanks for the feedback on the Contract article. Magic and the crew at Contract are super sound guys so I really hope things work out for them. If you’re still looking to go to the opening week of the Kaunertal weekend, the guys from Contract are attending too. I’ll make sure they sort you out with a couple of boards to try over the weekend.

I just wondered: it would be cool to have a snowboard-review Twitter Account.
I’m sure you know about Twitter, yet. Or don’t you? (twitter.com)
Probably would be cool to shout out the news just if you posted a new article or came back from a board test or something. One reaches so many ppl via twitter..
E.g. Volcom: > 10.000 followers

We do have a twitter! http://twitter.com/SB_Review ... I do try and keep people updated with what’s going on, on the site, but it’s best use is for contacting small brands.

Haha okay, great. Just followed, nick is the same as here.
So you are not too far away from all the internet stuff as you claim to be, hehe.

What do you guys think about giving the users of the forum the possibility to mention their equip in their profile?
There could be one-line textboxes like: Binding; Boots; Board
Or you could just rename an already existing multi-line textbox like “Bio” or “Interests” into “Equip” and let everyone write it however they want it.

kind of like a wiki?
So it’s completely user generated content… like the sounds of that!
But I guess that’s kind of what the forum is for?

mhm no, I was actually talking about something totally different =D
I just meant to add informations about your own setup in your forum profile.
Example for the first layout (several 1-line boxes): http://www.snowboard-community.de/index.php?showuser=18306
Scroll a bit down to find “board”, “binding”, and so on on the left hand side.
Example for the second layout(multi-line box): http://www.snowboarden.de/forum/members/masl.html
Hope I explained it better, this time..

Yep got you completely.
Actually that’d be cool. Maybe have a gear list under the users ranking on standard posts. So after it says joined dd/ww/yyyy you have:
Boards:
Rossignol JDub 158
Rossignol Twilight 164
Burton Dominant Slick 152
Bindings:
Rossignol Jones Experience
Agency Kass
Boots:
Vans Andreas Wiig
Although saying that, there’s a lot of information…or space there. Did you mean, you click through on the profile where you get the member info and the info is there?
Posted: 11 October 2009 08:13 PM
Yep, was talking about the information showing up when clicking on a profile.
Because I think not everyone wants to see all the equip everyone has all the time. And I think the forum look should be kept as clear as possible..

With hundreds of snowboards cluttering up Rich’s brain, he’s forgotten that the exact feature you describe is already on our roadmap. It’s fast approaching a development slot so you should see it soon.
Thanks,
Dan

Appologies…. my brain isn’t functioning all that well at the moment, at least the memory part of it isn’t.

Hahaha okay, no problem at all. Glad we have the same thing in mind at how the forum should look and function in future =)

Is it only me or is the start page of snowboard-review.com really broke?
