guys, I’ve been doing abit of research on reverse camber boards. Im 5’7’’ 155lbs size UK8 boot. Im an intermediate rider but want to improve, i ride all mountain (piste, pow, back country) i want to get into the park more and improve.
I ‘ve been looking at the following boards
K2 turbo dream
Never summer SLR
Lib tech (Only just started looking at these so need suggestions)
What do you all think of the boards i’ve had a look at, any others you think i should look at, and advice on size needed.

Cheers

Talking about rockered decks, first of all, you should know about the differences of the various rocker-hybrids and pure rocker techs. Visit our Basics section in the snowboard guide to learn more about it.

Other than that, the TurboDream is a great board! So is the NS SL-R and also the LibTech TravisRice/Lando BTX; they all just have a (more or less) different focus of riding.

Reading on what you are planning to ride, you should maybe also have a look at the YES YES and the Rossignol Angus (though it will be really hard to get your hands on one of these..).

think i have narrowed it down to the never summer and the k2. What size you thinking, 155 (never summer) 156 (k2). Any ideas of places that stock never summer boards in the UK?

Am I correct that 5’7’’ are ~170cm?

If so, I think you would be fine with the 155 / 156, although if you want to improve especially your park riding you might want to consider the 153 TurboDream. The 151 SL-R might be starting to be a bit too short, I think.

But again: Remember that the SL-R is a rocker hybrid and the TurboDream a full rocker.
The SL-R does probably have some better edge hold and is therefore better for piste riding while the TurboDream is a real powder monster.

Tom and Rich should be able to give you a hint where to get a hold of these boards in the UK; I assume at least one of them is passing by this thread soon~

Cheers
