Hi,

Looking for my first board which will suit me now and as I progress.

Boards I’m considering are the GNU carbon credit, Burton Clash, Omatic Boron.

Is there a clear winner on my list? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

What are your stats?  What are you looking for out of board?  Where will you ride it?

5’7, 72kg size 8 boots and I’m at an advanced beginner level.

I’m looking for a board that will suit me just now but will also last me for a while as I progress.

Looking for an all mountain board, but would like to get into park riding in the future.

Surprised no one has answered yet.

My pick for a great all-mountain board with loads of potential to evolve with is the Rossignol One-Mag.  It’s pretty stiff but if you can handle it you’ll get a lot of great riding out of it.

In my honest opinion get an all-mountain board for cruising and then a park board separate.  The park has specific challenges likes rails, boxes, tables, etc that an all-mountain board can tackle but probably no where near as well as a board developed for those obstacles.

Sorry, your post has gone completely under the radar. I’ll have a look in my lunch break, sorry for the delay. THanks for the reminder Reloaded!

As Rich’s lunch break obviously was too short for him to come back here, I hope you will forgive me answering instead.

The Omatic Boron seems to be a great starter for your needs, you are definitely no going anywhere wrong with this.
Another deck you migh want to consider is the Artec Novus. As well as the Boron it offers great value for money and is ideal for progressing.
A bit more freestyle-ish would be the Signal Omni (rocker hybrid) or the Head Team I.

You’re welcome to post your thoughts and/or questions!
Cheers
Tobi

edit: just had a look at the GNU carbon credit, as I did not really know about it before.
Seems to be a great beginners/intermediate deck as well with Banana rocker and Magnetraction.. Glad you put it on your list, didn’t know about this jewel, yet.

Once you got it, could you maybe shoot some pictures (with or without bindings, I don’t care) and link them here?
I’d love to see how it looks ‘in reality’. And don’t forget to post your review once you had it out for some days.

Have fun with it!

Hi Steve,

Sorry for the delay. Gotta say, you made a really good choice with the Carbon Credit… I salute your choice! Definitely post a review when you’ve given it a good thrashing!

Tobi thanks for holding the fort buddy… crazy busy at the minute!
