Shout to all the riders out there, i’m 10 minutes fresh here!
BOARD
I need some expert advice, because i am about to get an endeavor High 5 2012 as an all terrain board, fun to ride, premium quality, to allow me to do almost everything is out there from freerididing to freestyle trix.
I am 1.81m - 5’11” ,
65 - 67 kg -145- 150 pds
i wear 43 eu - 10 us
I am begginer aiming for the intermediate grade, learning fast, with lots of love for snowboarding from day 1.
I love the endeavor high 5 amazing graphics and specs but i am not sure about the size i should be riding.
All those snowboard perfect size calculators and the FLAT KICKS of the High 5that allows the rider to use a 2 cm smaller board, got me confused. I wasn’t sure about the size i should get anyway.
Should it be a 153 or a 155 ? I’d like to have stability at higher speeds and better pow float when it’s the case, but also to stay able to try some butterings and spins.
BINDINGS
Also, what bindings should i buy for this beauty ?What types of bindings should i be looking for ?I’d like something really comfy but with with a very good response.I was thinking about some Rome Arsenal / 390 cause are easier for me to procure so i can ride it sooner, but if you advise me different, i’ll be pacient to make the perfect setup.
Thank you so much !

Hey Detailwrun,
First off, completely agree, the Hi5 is an absolutely stunning board. Derek Stenning smashes the graphics every year and actually, next season is no exception either. But, I really wouldn’t advise buying this board if you are a beginner/intermediate… it’s quite stiff and has a really pronounced camber so you really need to be an experienced and powerful rider to get the most out of it. My advice would be to look at the Guerilla Series.
If there’s no stopping you, I would go for the 155.

Thank you for your reply, and you’re right, there’s nothing stopping me buying this board. In fact it will be a chalenge to make me better and improve my riding style and power. I’m the type that experiments a lot and really pushes the limit and tries to eknowledge every single move when riding.I won’t be dissapointed because i will not expect the board to ride me, I’ll go for the High 5 155.
Could you please advise me about the bindings i mentioned in my first post? I know you mostly review and discuss boards, but could you please make an exception and give me some usefull tips about the bindings i should pair this board with ?
Thank you again.

It’ll be a baptism of fire!
A lot of people rate Rome bindings particularly the 390s so I guess they’re a good choice. I’m aftaid I haven’t ridden them. I’d go mid-flexing as you suggested.

Rome 390 Boss are sick bindings, and I highly recommend them.
