Hello,
I am in the market for a new board after my last one was stolen
My old board was a Yes 156.5.

I am currently contemplating:

Lib Tech T.Rice Pro 157
Capita TFA
Ride Machete

I spend 90% of my time between slopes and off piste, and the last 10% in the park.
I prefer all mountain freestyle as the park gets to me at times.
I am swaying towards the T.Rice but worried that it might be a bit to much for me.
I am pretty strong all mountain rider and like to go hard when needs be.
Would the waist weight on the T.Rice be a bit wide (going form a 252 to a 258)?
Would i notice the difference?
I use Burton Ions so that i could fit regular boards up till now.
Is the T.Rice pro as playful as the other boards (machete or tfa)?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Stats:

Height- 6’1
Weight - 162 lbs
Boot size - US 10.5 (use burton ions so US 9.5)

Thanks

I wouldn’t get a magnetraction board unless you’ve demo’ed one and you like it.

I just bought the Rome Agent Rocker 157, which would also fit you, and I highly recommend it.  It’s a really great quiver killing board.  It has excellent edge hold on ice, the most pop out of any board I’ve tried, and floats really well in powder.  It’s also incredibly playful feeling, turning easier than any board I’ve ever tried, but feels right at home carving as well.

I put the TRS 159, Agent Rocker 157 and Flying V 158 through about a foot of fresh powder, incredibly hard new england ice, a couple of rails, and a few small and medium size jumps.  The Agent Rocker was hands down more fun in every category.

If you get a chance to demo, though, you probably should.  Boards have reach the technological point where you’re not going to be unhappy with anything, really.  It’s all a matter of preference.  For example, the TRS performed really well in everything I mentioned, even better than the Agent Rocker in a couple places, but I passed because the Agent Rocker was just more fun everywhere on the mountain.

Thanks for the reply.
I have had in the past a Custom V Rocker and a standard camber agent.
I liked them but wasn’t blown away plus i always like to try new stuff where possible.
Where i am located i can’t get a chance to demo boards so looking for the most advice as
possible.

Cheers
