Hi Guys,
After reading some of the good advice you give to others, i have decided to jump in on the act and ask if you could help me decided on a new set up.
I am an advanced beginner (can ride red, black without problem - but not yet hit the park) and about to purchase my first board. I am looking for an all mountain board (that i can also hit the park with) that will last me a few seasons and something i wont get bored with quickly.
I am 6ft, 172lb and have size 10.5 US feet.
I am currently looking at the solomon official 158cm with their relay bindings.
Could you recommend this or do you have other suggestions…?
Thanks for the advice

should have mentioned that i am also thinking of the ride machete. Views on this board and the official or any other boards that you would recommend would be great.
thanks again

Hi Robdk,
Sorry for the late reply, I’ve been snowboarding in Austria for the last two weeks and Tom’s been snowed under with the site, running snowboard instructor courses in Verbier and taking instructor exams himself… hense the delay getting back to you.
So just to confirm. You’re an intermediate rider who wants to start going into the park and hitting jumps, but wants to ride the whole mountain on your new purchase.
Let me know if I’m on the money here and I’ll get a list of boards together.

Hi Rich,
No problem with the delay - hope the holiday was good (i was in Austria in January - love it there..!)
I am probably just below an intermediate rider if i am honest. But the ret is on the money.
I am leaning towards the ride machete at the moment. but a list of boards you would recommend would be great.
Thanks
Rob
