Hey,

I’m starting to have headache now. I just can’t decide which one of these I want. HELP?!
-Rossi’s Trickstick 2012
-K2’s WWW 2012 (so far I think this is my target)
-Amplid’s Dopamine
-Forum’s Scullywag

I love rails, boxes and stuff (I’m intermediate imo). I also love to jib and just mess around with my board going down the hill. Doing butters, 180’s and so on. Once in a while a hit mini jumps to bust a 180 or a 360. The thing is that I need a really SOFT, forgiving, flexable, LIGHT board because I’m this kid that is really skinny and weak. Got legs like baseball bats. Minimum muscle.

Maybe there are more boards I should take a look at? Let me know what you guys think.

RAILS, BOXES, JIBS, BUTTERS, MINI JUMPS ARE MY THING.

Peace,

Arnas

If you really want THE noodle, go get the K2 WWW, it will be crazy soft and you can probably flex it with your bare hands..

Hmm… Well, I’ve read much about the Weapon. Looks like it’s a sponge not a board lol. Do you think it’s still good for the park? Or only for buttering around? Cos I’m more focused on the rails and boxes. I butter around less then shred the park. Maybe I need something more stable like the Dopamine? And what about the Academy’s Propaganda 2012? Maybe this stick is for rails, boxes, jumps?

Yep the WWW is a complete noodle… personally, I find it too soft.

The Academy Propaganda is a good park board, I rode it last season and I really enjoyed playing about on rails. Actually it’s not too different to the Dopamine…. but I like the additional dampness from the WDT core in the dopamine and the flat section between the bindings… just adds a bit of versatility.

Thanks. I just can’t find amplid’s or Academy’s shops in Chicago. I think aren’t any of those here. If so I won’t be able to get any of these boards. Only the Rossi’s TS or the Wep.

Maybe you know something about amplids or Academys locations in the US, Chicago?

I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks for the help,

Arnas

I think if you’re going to get either of those boards it’s going to be an internet purchase. Academy and Amplid just don’t have the distribution network that he likes of K2 have.

Oh, alright. I can only get a board in Chicago so now it’s down to the Weapon and Trickstick. Thoughts?

Scallywag is out. But maybe I’m judging this deck way too early?

I’m not a big fan of super soft noodles so for me it would be the Scallywag. The other two aren’t my cup of tea so I can’t really make a judgement between them.

Few more simple questions.

-Do you know what freestyle bindings would go nicely with the K2’s Wep? If no, maybe you could just recommend any random freestyle bindings?

-What are the differences between the K2’s Wep 2012 and the 2011 model?

-Freestylers prefer stiff or soft snowboard boots? Any recommendations?

-Do you guys like pizza? LOL JUST KIDDING.

Thx for all the help.

Love Pizza!

Check out the K2 Hurrithane bindings, the highbacks are made of Urethane so there’s plenty of flexibility. I think Flux make a similar binding too. You might also like the Salomon Arcade and Rhythm bindings.

As far as boots go, it’s all about fit. I can’t recommend Vans highly enough… check out the High Standard, it’s a supportive but soft lexing boot and it’s well priced. I think the DC Park is also designed with maximum movement in the cuff for rail and box tricks.

Oh and the major difference between the 10/11 and 11/12 WWW is the big shovel tips on this year’s board.

Oh and is it okay for me to ride with soft freestyle bindings even if I’m not an advanced rider? Or should I grab All Mountain ones?

No point in matching a super soft board to a responsive all-mountain binding.

Yeah the WWW is pretty lightweight but nothing special.

What do you mean nothing special? It’s a nothing special deck? Or the weight?
