Good Board

I’m looking for a snowboard that can handle the mountain just as good as it can handle the park. I’m not looking to spend more then $500 on a board. I’m 5’9 170 lbs and boot size 11.5 and my boots have shrinkage. Any suggestions on which board I should get?

all mountian 1 board quiver choice

Hi there Rich/Tom I’m looking at buying an all mountain 1 board quiver type board that will carve good for next season. I’m currently riding a Ride Machete 155 and I really like it but prefer something a little bit stiffer and a bit better edgehold (not saying it has a bad edgehold). I ride mostly in whistler/blackcomb and looking for a board to take down the blues and black runs there, and a little bit park maybe 10% of my riding (no rails though). Not doing jumps yet but want to start learning 180’s and 360’s. My height is 5’5” and 145lbs. Been riding for 1 year and the reason I want to buy new board is that I will probably use this next board and not buy another board until it is broken.

My first choices are: Lib Tech T.Rice 157, K2 turbo dream 156, or a NS Heritage 155. The only problem I have with Lib’s board is that they dont have a full metal edge wrap which makes me questioned the durability (and in case I hit a tree or somethin). Second choices would be: Jones Mountain Twin or Bataleon Jam/Riot. I’m open to other choices or if you guys think the Machete will still be good enough. I have a feeling that I might be overthinking this a bit but I’ll be glad if you guys could help me.

Any Suggestions

I’m looking to pick up a board for somewhere around the $250 range. I was wondering if anyone knew of such a board that is similar in design to the Omatic Extr-Emo that sizes around 154cm. Thanks a lot.

An alternative to Lib Tech Travis Rice BTX 164.5

After a good bit of research I decided that the Lib Tech Travis Rice BTX 164.5 was the board for me but after looking everywhere I can think of, I just can’t find one.
I’ve been riding a K2 Turbo Dream 157 but being 108kg / 236lb (5’ 10” rugby player) I’ve come to realise that this board is too short.
I’d say I’m advanced, no problems with black runs etc. but I haven’t started catching any air (although I really want to, going to work on it this season). I ride switch to ease myself out of some tricky spots but I’m not too bothered about it, so I’m thinking a directional board is the way to go. I’m more about getting down with nice lines and at a good speed (not interested in the half pipe).
I’m starting to go off piste and getting excited about hitting powder.

I’ve come to really like a rocker (that turbo dream may have been too short but it’s great board) I thought the Lib Tech Travis Rice BTX 164.5 would be the fella for me but if somebody could suggest and alternative or a board for my kinda fun (some form of rocker) I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

need advice for my son

Hi, wondering if someone would mind giving me some advice, want to buy my son a board for his birthday this week, absolutely know very little. Have received conflicting info from 2 different stores/experts. Can someone please advise if the following sounds good,

17 yrs old, 5’ & 7 1/4” - 125 lbs, boot size 11
1st time was last year and he is absolutely hooked. Took 3 private lessons and was coming down beginner and intermediate (smaller ones) hills with control and no fear, using the standard rentals.

One guy recommends:

Arbor Westmark Board (wide) - size 152 with K2 Cinch Binding (XL)
DC Scout II Boot

Summer special, 450.00 for everything. The board is retailed in the store for 455.00 but summer price is 267.00

another guy told us he does not need a wide board and size 11 is the cut off? Research online seems to point to a wide board. Thank you for any info, sorry if I am lacking info or the lingo, older parent wanting to get him something nice he can grow into ability wise, but nothing that will break me or be too advanced for him.

I’m looking for a nice board that can perform all over the mountain and exceptionally well in the park. I’m also looking for a soft flex and a smooth ride in the board. Any suggestions?

Nitro Eeron Ettala as first board???

Hello
After 2 months trying snowboarding, I’ve finally bought my first board, which is the Nitro Eeron Ettala Am.
Has it been a right choice or it’s not suitable for a novice?
I’m 172cm and my weigh is between 65 and 70 kilo. The board’s length is 152cm. Is it too short for me?
Shape: Directional Twin | Flex: All Terrain | Camber: ZERO | Width: Medium
Thanks for your help!

I’m getting the correct size?

Hi! I’m about to buy a Burton Custom V-Rocker, but there are no wide models. I want the 156 one, but I’m afraid because my boot size is EUR45 (UK10.5|US11.5) and I don’t want to have problems in turns. I’ve read a review of a guy that has the same size and bought one and tells that he hasn’t had any problems.
