I’m interested in buying the Attack Banana but as its my first board I’m not sure of the width to get, I’m 170 Lbs and 6’4 with a size 12-12.5 boot. I was hoping someone could give me their opinion, it would be appreciated.

Hey Guys,

Great site, I check it daily :-)

I´m 185cm and 85kg. I ride a 70% park and 30% all mountain. I´m in the market for a 2012 NS Revolver as my 2011 died. The 2012 revolver 158 has an effective edge of 125 and the revolver 155 has an effective edge of 122. My old 2011 Revolver was the 159 with an effective edge of 123 which I really like.

I´m now in doubt which revolver I should buy as the 155 has almost the same effective edge as my current revolver, I think it should ride pretty similar. Do you think I will notice the 1cm difference and should go with the 155 or should I pick up the 158 to get some more stability?

Thanks!
Hugo

For the past season I’ve been riding a 2011 Rossi Angus 158 (mid-wide) and really like it. I’m thinking of building a quiver and am considering a Never Summer Legacy as my all mountain/freeride stick.

About me: 6’0”, 185, intermediate. All mountain/park = 90/10. Like to ride groomers, hit natural features, tree and bump riding. Park is mostly jumps for now. Would like to step it up in the park though, and intend to use my Angus as my park board.

What do you think about the Legacy? Too similar to the Angus, or a good complement? If not the Legacy, any other suggestions?

Cheers!

Hello

I am deciding to buy a new board but options are overwhelming.

I want a snowboard kinda verstile. Mainly to go down hard groomers, with some ice at the end of the day. Not so much pow, as in the last 6 years I have seen none where I usually go. I am starting to do jumps on the side of the piste, some turns and love the feeling of buttering and doing small tricks as I go down the hill, using the natural features to do them. I will probably never do a big jump, but probably will try the park once in a while (my directional freeride SB is not for that, too stiff and difficult to ride switch, so never tried).

I was looking at the Attack Banana that has some features I like, like hybrid camber, magnatraction and a little more stiffness than the Skate Banana. However , it is way out my price range.

Can you help me selecting something similar in terms of specs? I have read lots about Lib-Tech’s and Burton´s technology, but I´m completely lost regarding other brands like K2 or Ride.

Thanks!

I want to go Backcountry, and not only from time to time. Still being able to butter would be a great thing but my priorities are as follows:

[x] Piste [45]%
[x] Pow/Backcountry [50]%
[x] Park (Kicker/Pipe) [5]%
[ ] Rails [ ]%

I am 1,85m and 85kg. I do have a Burton Moto US11 (so footprint of an US10), which just enables me to go mid-wide.
My choice so far is between Lib Techs’ Skate Banana, TRS or the Travis Rice Pro, Never Summer Proto CTX and the K2 Turbo Dream.

I would love to hear your opinion on this.

Hey,

Just looking to buy my first snow board set up, I have been riding here and there the last 4 years but have only ever rented. This year i have bought a season pass to the mt so i wanna get my own gear. I’d describe myself as an intermediate rider who just wants something that will do anything. Im 6ft tall, 10US shoe size and 240lbs (will be around 220 come season).

At the moment I’m looking at getting the Burton Joystick 161cm, Burton custom EST bindings, and burton TWC boots
or a burton blunt, or bullet.

I haven’t really looked must past burton much at the moment because I don’t really know what im looking for and they are the most popular boards.

Also if you could recommend a site that has awesome deals it would be greatly appreciated as im from NZ and board are expensive as here!! (Joystick 800NZD compared to 350USD!!!)

Cheers :)

I’m a 9 year snowboarder, very on and off looking for a board that I can take all over the mountain but has a buttery flex for groomed runs. I’ve been riding a Ride Dose 159 with Burton Cartels the last 2 years and have decided it’s a little too stiff and big for me. I’m 5’8” and 165 lbs. with size 10 boots. I’ve done a pretty good amount of research and brands I’ve really looked into are Yes, Bataleon, Stepchild, Rossignol, and Capita.

With Yes I looked into the Jackpot 155, with Bataleon I’ve looked at the Riot 154 and the Whatever 156, with Rossignol I looked at the Angus 155, and the two boards I’m most set on is Capita’s Ultrafear FK 155 and Stepchild’s Powder Sucks 155.

I every now and then ride park but I mostly ride blacks and tree runs and hit a lot of natural features. Stability at high speeds is also very important to me but i wanna be able to butter pretty easy too. I think a reverse camber board is the way to go and I think all the boards I listed are reverse camber so I wanted to see how those boards would stack up against each other with the type of riding style I have.

Any helps appreciated!

Gday

Finally decided its time to get my own board after a couple of seasons of hiring. Have spent a bit of time reading stuff on here and on a few other website and im starting to confuse myself.

Im 186cm 83kg beginner to intermediate and would love some advice on what to get.
Iv looked at the burton clash and K2 raygun, would something like these 2 be suitable for my level?

Also living in Australia snow gear seems so expensive, do you guys have any online shops you can recommend?

Would really appreciate any feed back i get.

I’m looking at this board, see in your reviews that it would be recommended for pipe and a fast racer, all good, plus it’s now available at a nice discount in all sizes. Would size would you recommend for a 5’6” and 145 pounds, looking to use it for pipe and racing; ride 147 and 151 boards currently. Also, how would this do on rails and jumps?
