Will you be riding the K2 Darkstar or rocking the all new Parkstar?

As if choosing a snowboard isn’t complicated enough these days! K2 have taken one of their top selling, all mountain, park destroying classics and added their new Jib rocker. The Snowboard Review crew had a little peek at the Slide show in February.

Without doubt rocker boards are the craze for the 2009/10 season - we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. And never far from the latest trend, K2 have taken the Darkstar and applied their jib rocker, giving it a looser, less catchy feel and the rider increased ability to press like a cider farm. Technology featuring on both boards include Sidewall / Cap hybrid construction to reduce swing weight, a 4000 grade sintered base, biaxial glass and Carbon Matrix torsion forks running from the inserts to the ends of the effective edge to eliminate wash out on cranking carves. We’ll be taking both these boards out for a blast in May, hopefully we’ll be able to help you to choose between the two…for now we’re just as confused as you…and my head hurts!

Bases... not much to say about those.
