One of our focuses at Snowboard Review is to bring your attention to the hottest new brands out in the vast ocean that is the snowboard market. Our latest find is Weekend Snowboards, an interesting start-up headed by Dan MacNamara, the brains behind Bond carbon neutral outerwear. Weekend are releasing their first board series this coming winter and with production limited to 450 boards you’ll have to be fast to get your mitts on one…

With the recent signings of future star Mark Carter and undeniable legend Heikki (the flying saucer) Sorsa to the Weekend Team, you know this brand is heading places! Released with a limited board run, the Lodge Series is available in 153, 155 and 157 centimetres. With a directional twin shape and a centred stance the Lodge Series is everything you’ll need to kill it in the park and on the rest of the hill. Featuring a tip to tail wood core, triaxial glass, kevlar reinforcement and a Structurn base the Lodge Series has everything you’d expect in a high quality ride. Dan’s really worked his connections on the graphics front, roping in Steve Nazar the cartoonist responsible for Town & Country’s legendary surf graphics which donned many a t-shirt around Cali in the 80s. So keep your eyes open for Weekend, they’re set go blow up… and remember you saw Weekend here first…. or at least a close second!
