The K2 Zepplin is no more! The board that built K2’s reputation as a quality snowboard manufacturer has been fased out of the 2010 range…or has it?
I’m afraid Snowboard-Review has some sad news for all the K2 Zeppelin heads out there. For as long as I can remember the Zeppelin has been the main alternative to the infamous Burton Custom for those wanting a ‘do anything’ all-mountain snowboard. K2 have decided that the Zeppelin’s long reign as the anchor of their range has ended. But every cloud has a silver lining. And in this case it comes in the form of K2’s latest entry to the Freestyle ‘hit anything’ market…I introduce to you, the Slayblade!
Featuring K2’s Flatline technology (a zero camber profile, that gives you the broken-in feel of a seasoned deck with the pop of a board straight out of the factory) and the Harshmellow damping system underfoot to eradicate those unwanted vibrations associated with pushing the envelope. The Slayblade sounds like it’ll offer the perfect package for an intermediate to advanced rider looking to step it up this year. We’ll be reporting back to you about this one in May.
