Exclusive Preview - Rossignol Snowboards 2010/11

Smuggled out of Rossignol HQ on the back of a remote control pigeon, Snowboard Review managed to steal a preview of next season’s Taipan and Circus snowboards. Aimed at the intermediate rider we reckon these boards are going to clear up the progressive snowboard market place over the winter of 2010/11.

Rather smart Rossignol Taipan and matching cobra bindings

The trade shows are kicking off this month and the excitement in the industry is almost tangible. For those companies who are prepared, it’s a time to kick back and catch a couple of powder days before the madness of Munich and Denver, on the other hand there are tons of brand teams out there in a last minute panic to get prototypes ready and catalogues full of images and mouth watering descriptions. All this chaos and panic presents opportunities for top secret information to go missing.

Snowboard Review has spies everywhere, we’re practically the snowboard industry KGB and our insider in the Rossignol camp has managed to smuggle us some pics and details of two new additions to the line up. Keep this to yourselves, but Rossignol will be releasing two new boards aimed at intermediate riders next season, and yes, you’ve guessed it, they’ll be loading them with Rossignol’s sensational Amptek technology (camber between the bindings and rocker at the tip and tail). Introducing the Rossignol Taipan and Cirus, Rossi’s all new progressive directional, all ability, all conditions, all mountain killin’ machines. To help less experienced riders get to grips with the shred, the designers have removed Carbon and Kevlar from the construction and softened up the board between the bindings for easier turn initiation, but kept the tip and tail stiffer for pop and stability in afternoon crud. We’re told the Taipan will be available in a 153, 156, 158, 160 and a 158mW, which should cover riders in all shapes and sizes. The Snowboard Review crew are loving the pirate graphic on the Taipan, we’re sure it’ll go nicely with next season’s must have fashion item, a hook and an eye patch.

Because we know aesthetics are important to you guys we also managed to scoop a preview on next years Cobra and Circus bindings which pair up nicely with the Taipan and Circus for a super tight look. With a 3D straps, 3 zone foot padding and adjustable heel loop and toe ramps packed into these bindings, we know you’re going to be blown away at the price points of these bindings. Unfortunately our intelligence on exact prices is limited but from what we’ve heard you won’t find many worthy competitors at anywhere near the price!

Hope you guys enjoyed the preview. From what we’ve seen, we reckon Rossi are looking in good shape for next season. We’ll post more intel when we get it, but for now… you ain’t seen nothing.. alright

Rossignol and Circus bindings, a pretty little package for the ladies

This would be great info if Rossi still bothered selling board in the UK - been trying to get hold of an Experience to no avail.
