Antti Autti starts new snowboard brand with Nidecker!

It seems that a lot of big name pro’s are ending ties with their long-standing sponsors to start brands with Swiss Snowboard manufacturer Nidecker. The latest recruit, in a rapidly increasing list of the who’s who of snowboarding, is Finish pipe ripper and former flow rider Antti Autti. Antti, who has ridden for Flow since he burst onto the competition scene in 2001, has decided to take his involvement in board production and design further.

Antti's new snowboards are making him crazy

With Nidecker an opportunity arose to create something of my own, and have complete say in my boards and how I want them from graphics to technology. I knew of what NDK where doing for YES and I liked the program they had set up. I wanted to create an affordable line of boards that kids could get their hands on easily and be stoked about. I wanted to create something unique and work with artists, musicians and anyone to ad extra depth to what my boards where about and what I had to offer snowboarding and hopefully people will be stoked about it. All this I could do with NDK as they have the ability, the know how and the technology to back it up within Nidecker.”

Antti plans to tie the brand, which will be known as ‘Antti for NDK’, into an online platform which he is creating called www.anttisworld.com, due to launch at the end of this month. The site will give snowboarders everywhere a better insight into Antti’s life as a snowboarder; it will also give them access to all of Antti’s riding clips and will undoubtedly help Antti showcase his brand on a world stage.

In a recent press release from Nidecker it was stated that ‘Antti for NDK’ will primarily feature a standard model that will be launched at trade shows around the globe next February, featuring graphics by Jim (I stole my mummy’s crayons and designed a snowboard) Zbinden of YES fame. Antti will also launch exclusive collaboration boards with select artists and musicians to be sold in limited numbers and exclusively through his online platform. Snowboard-Review.com wish Antti the best of luck with this new venture as he’s one of the nicest and most modest riders in Snowboarding. Antti has always let his riding do the talking, as illustrated when he beat Shaun White in the 2005 X-Games Superpipe final, we hope his boards do the same.
